The GPGU, founded in 1984, has developed numerous congresses since its foundation and counts on several scientific works:
- Publications
- Papers submitted and approved at international congresses
- Training Meetings
- Clinical Sessions in Public Hospitals.
It currently has 350 permanent members among various specialties and has a strategic international participation in SEUG, EORTC, UAE AUA, ASCO.
It has also promoted specific events with presence of members of the most distinguished hospitals at national and international level.
It has developed plans of a systematized form with divulgation in the congresses promoted by the GPGU
